Biography

Prof. Dr. Roxana Maria Nemeș is a highly respected pulmonologist, researcher, and educator specialising in respiratory physiology, pediatric pulmonology, and pulmonary rehabilitation. She is a Professor at Titu Maiorescu University, Bucharest, and Head of the Physiopathology Department, where she has been shaping medical education since 2016. She has served as President of the Romanian Society of Pulmonology (2020–2024) and has been a scientific researcher at the Marius Nasta Institute of Pulmonology since 2000. Her expertise spans functional respiratory investigations, cardiopulmonary exercise testing, and chronic lung disease management, supported by specialised training across Europe and the United States. A contributor to national spirometry and pulmonary rehabilitation guidelines, she is the programme's primary voice on translating respiratory function testing into clinical decision-making.
