Biography
Professor of Clinical Physiology at Joseph Fourier University (Grenoble Alpes) and Director of the HP2 Laboratory (INSERM U1300), where he heads the clinical research team focused on the cardiovascular consequences of sleep-disordered breathing and chronic intermittent hypoxia. He runs the French national sleep apnoea registry, now exceeding 100,000 patients, and co-leads the European Sleep Apnoea Database (ESADA). Co-author of the landmark Lancet Respiratory Medicine paper estimating global OSA prevalence at nearly one billion individuals. He has published close to 1,000 research works with more than 24,000 citations. Active in multiple ERS and ATS task forces and a global leader in digital sleep medicine and OSA diagnostics innovation.
