Biography
Associate Professor of Pulmonology at Semmelweis University, Budapest, and Head of the Department of Pulmonary Rehabilitation at the National Koranyi Institute for Pulmonology. He earned his PhD in 2011 at the University of Szeged for research on training programmes in COPD. His research focuses on the physiological and systemic effects of pulmonary rehabilitation in chronic respiratory diseases, with specific expertise in digital health and telemedicine tools — including virtual reality environments — as components of rehabilitation programmes. He has received the American Thoracic Society Clinical Year in Review award and the Ferenc Kováts Memorial Award. He presented at BREATHE 2025 on freedive training in COPD.
