Biography

Professor and Head of the Department of Respiratory Medicine at the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Nicolae Testemițanu", Chișinău. National Leader for Moldova at the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) and GINA Assembly member for Moldova. Former ERS National Delegate for Moldova. More than 70 peer-reviewed publications on COPD phenotyping, comorbidities, and the COPD–type 2 diabetes relationship. His most recent collaborative work (2026, Journal of Clinical Medicine) provides a comprehensive biomarker-guided review of the COPD–cardiovascular disease link.
