Dr Teodora Iacob

Biography

Dr. Teodora Iacob is a consultant in infectious diseases and a dedicated academic with a deep commitment to the clinical management of infections and public health education. She is currently a consultant at the Clinical Hospital for Infectious Diseases in Cluj-Napoca and a lecturer at the Cluj School of Public Health, Babeș-Bolyai University. She previously served as assistant professor at the "Iuliu Hațieganu" University of Medicine and Pharmacy, where she taught infectious diseases and medical semiology. Her professional development includes international training in sepsis, antimicrobial therapy, and teaching strategies, with certifications from ESCMID-accredited programmes. Her clinical interests include antibiotic stewardship, severe infections, and the intersection of infectious disease expertise with respiratory care — with a particular focus on vaccination as evidence-based intervention in chronic lung disease.
