Dr. Vitalii Poberezhets, MD, PhD, is a forward-thinking pulmonologist, researcher, and educator with a special focus on airway diseases, digital health, and patient empowerment. He currently serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Propedeutics of Internal Medicine at the National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsya, Ukraine.

With a PhD in Internal Medicine (2022), Dr. Poberezhets is actively engaged in clinical research and digital innovation, particularly in m-Health and e-health technologies. His work explores the use of large-scale remote monitoring, AI language models in healthcare, and social media for patient education and engagement.

He is a member of the ERS Clinical Research Collaboration Science Council, Ukraine’s national GOLD assembly leader, and a reviewer for the European Board for Accreditation in Pneumology. He is also recognized as a GINA Advocate.

At Breathe 2025, Dr. Poberezhets will present on digital health interventions for COPD.
