Dr. Ionela Preotesoiu is a committed pulmonologist and academic, with strong interests in bronchoscopic techniques, functional respiratory exploration, and inflammatory lung diseases. She currently serves as a University Teaching Assistant at Ovidius University of Constanța – Faculty of Medicine, and a Specialist in Pulmonology, having completed her training with top national scores.
Dr. Preotesoiu is a doctoral student researching pulmonary involvement in inflammatory bowel diseases, and she holds complementary certifications in bronchoscopic endoscopy and respiratory function testing.
Her academic contributions include numerous conference presentations, co-authored book chapters, and peer-reviewed publications on topics such as asthma, sleep apnea, lung cancer, and respiratory complications in systemic diseases. She is an active participant in national working groups of the Romanian Society of Pulmonology and serves as exam commission secretary for national medical licensing evaluations.
At Breathe 2025, Dr. Preotesoiu will offer her insights on The role of biological therapy in COPD, representing the emerging generation of dedicated respiratory professionals.
