Corina Budin

Associate Professor @ UMFST Târgu Mureș

Dr. Corina Eugenia Budin is an experienced pulmonologist, academic, and researcher, with extensive work in lung cancer, respiratory function testing, and tobacco-related pathologies. She currently serves as Consultant Pulmonologist at the Mureș County Clinical Hospital – Pneumology Clinic and as Associate Professor at the George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology of Târgu Mureș, where she also holds the position of Academic Secretary at the Office of the Vice-Rector for Education.

Her clinical and academic focus includes oncologic pneumology, bronchoscopy, palliative care, and pulmonary function testing, supported by complementary certifications in bronchoscopic endoscopy and spirometry. Dr. Budin is also President of the New Generation Section of the Romanian Society of Pulmonology and national coordinator of its Pulmonology Circle Working Group.

She holds a PhD in Medicine and has contributed to numerous research projects and over 30 high-impact scientific publications on topics such as lung cancer biomarkers, OSA-COPD overlap, and smoking prevention in vulnerable populations. She is also a co-author of several specialty books and an invited speaker at national and international conferences.

At Breathe 2025, Dr. Budin will speak on the Pathological Connections and Personalized Therapeutic Approaches in Bronchial Asthma.
